Chocolate Chip Granola Bar

  • 4 T butter
  • 1/4 c honey
  • 1/4 c maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c quick oats
  • 2 c rice crispy style cereal
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 c mini chocolate chips


  1. In a small saucepan, heat butter, honey, maple syrup and vanilla and let simmer for a few minutes then let cool until thicken and no longer hot to the touch. In a medium bowl, combine oats, cereal and salt and chocolate chips.  Pour syrup mixture in and combine well.  In a parchment lined baking dish, press bars into a square/rectangle of desired thickness (you choose the size of the bar) and let cool until firm.  Cut bars and store in air tight containers.
