This is for kids who attended fire camp last year or have experience with fire starting (example: boy scouts) or have experience with knives/hatchets.
This camp (and the other fire camp) is for kids who love being outside. And for parents who want their kids to learn how to use knives and hatchets safely along with those good ‘ol life saving first aid skills such as tourniquets. Knife and hatchets and fire all are things that pose real danger which means I take a zero tolerance approach to disrespect of tools, self and others. This is a fun camp, but also one that provides life long skills. We are looking into how it applies to boy scout merit badges as well!
For those who attended fire camp last year, it’s time to come back and show what you learned! This camp will be full of fun competitions, new skills and baking bread and s’mores on the fires the kids make. The archery range will be open along with basic instruction for this camp as well!
