Last year Mrs. Claus came to take photos and decorate cookies with kids to raise money for my summer camp scholarships. This year Santa is joining in the fun! Kids (and parents) will head upstairs for photos with Santa by the wood burning stove while down in BMK, kids and parents will be busy at work helping Santa spread joy and kindness.
How?
By making cards for them to take with them to the various retirement homes they visit each year. So many residents don’t receive any/many holiday cards and this year I want to change that. Materials will be provided (many gifted by Big Picture Gallery and Studio in North Liberty) but feel free to bring any favorite card making supplies or if your little elf wants to get a head start, you can bring ready made cards with you.
Holiday treats will be provided to snack on and weather permitting kids can play with the animals and in the timber. Holiday earrings will be available for sale from Charli Dean Designs!
Please note the parking instructions- carpooling is encouraged as always. To allow each kid more time with Santa than you normally get at the mall, I am limiting this to only 16 families.
