3Thoney or sugar (white or brown) increase to 1/2c or more for sweet muffins

1/4cupmelted butter or coconut oil- because of the low fat content muffins may stick to liners so spray them or brush with butter or increase butter to 1/3-1/2 c to play around with flavors. I normally use about 1/3c if I am not adding another source of fat to create a richer flavor.

Note: this basic muffin recipe is incredibly plain if baked as is, the purpose is that it gives you a neutrual base to build off of and be creative with flavors. Mix wet and dry ingredients separately and then combine but do not over mix. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 375. Check with toothpick to see if done.
