In a small saucepan, heat butter, honey, maple syrup and vanilla and let simmer for a few minutes then let cool until thicken and no longer hot to the touch. In a medium bowl, combine oats, cereal and salt and chocolate chips. Pour syrup mixture in and combine well. In a parchment lined baking dish, press bars into a square/rectangle of desired thickness (you choose the size of the bar) and let cool until firm. Cut bars and store in air tight containers.
