Easy breadsticks

Ingredients
  1. 4 1/2 cups flour
  2. 1 package yeast
  3. 2 T olive oil
  4. 1 T coarse sea salt
  5. 2 T sugar
  6. ~1 1/2 cups warm water
Topping options
  1. Melted butter, garlic powder, italian herbs, sea salt, cheese…
  2. or dessert sticks: cinnamon and sugar
Instructions
  1. preheat oven to 420
  2. In a large bowl mix yeast and 1/4 cup water and let sit for about 5 minutes until it starts to froth/bubble a bit. Add in remaining ingredients and knead for 5-10 minutes. For braided sticks, roll into a rectangle and slice into strips. Braid strips together. You can also form it into a log and slice into 1 inch wide pieces and roll pieces into bread sticks. Place onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper, cover and let rise for 45 minutes-1 hour. Brush any toppings on and bake for 15 minutes. Brush with melted butter and serve warm.
