  1. 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  2. ~1/4 or less cup olive oil
  3. 1/2 cup hard cheese, grated- parmesan, asiago, parmesan reggiano
  4. 2-3 cloves garlic
  5. 1/4 cup walnuts or pine nuts
  6. sea salt to taste
  1. On a cutting board begin chopping basil, once chopped into coarse pieces, add in garlic and continue chopping. After a bit, add in walnuts and then cheese and salt. Continue to chop everything all together until it reaches the consistency that you desire. Place in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Do not over oil.
