Moon and Sensory Dough


  • 1/2 c corn starch
  • 3 T water
  • 2 T lotion or dish soap
  • Food dye-optional
  • essential oil- optional

Mindfulness Dough

  • 1/2 c corn starch
  • 4-5 T water
  • optional-food coloring and essential oils


  • Mix together and knead with hands until a soft stretch dough forms, play around with different ways/ times to add in colors to create fun layers when the dough is cut/ broken in half. Adjust cornstartch/lotion as needed. Store in air tight container. The warmth of your hands is what allows the dough to stretch so you need to play with it for a bit before giving up on it being 'not right'.

Mindfulness dough

  • mix together ingredients to form a 'dough' that will appear liquid until you touch it and then will seize up into a solid. Place it in your/ your child's hands. When they relax, it relaxes and starts to ooze out. When the tighten their grip, it will harden up. This is a great way to help calm down a child who needs help remembering to breathe and relax.
