Basic Stir Fry Sauce

  • 1/2 c fermented soy sauce
  • 1/2 c oyster sauce
  • 1/4 c Chinese cooking wine or sherry
  • 1/4 c tapioca starch
  • 1 T honey
  • 2 T sesame oil
  • 1.5 tsp red pepper flakes, use less or omit if you don't like spice
  • 1 clove garlic pressed- optional
  • 1 tsp ginger minced- optional
  • mix with water before adding to stir fry, 1:2 ratio


  • Mix ingredients and store in the fridge.  Feel free to be creative and add things like garlic, ginger, lime, etc. Add to stir fry at the end of cooking.
