Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the bottom and side of a baking pan (9x9 works well) with foil or parchment paper.
Melt the butter in a large bowl. Whisk in the sugar and add in the eggs one at the time, whisking until smooth. Stir in the vanilla. Fold in the flour, cocoa powder and salt. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for ~35 minutes until the brownies begin the pull away from the edge of the pan. Allow brownies to cool in the pan before lifting out of the pan with the foil.
