Fudge Brownie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Options

  • Add 2 tsp peppermint extract for mint brownies
  • Swirl in peanut butter before baking
  • Add chopped nuts to the top before baking
  • Swirl in raspberry jelly before baking

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the bottom and side of a baking pan (9x9 works well) with foil or parchment paper.
  • Melt the butter in a large bowl. Whisk in the sugar and add in the eggs one at the time, whisking until smooth. Stir in the vanilla. Fold in the flour, cocoa powder and salt. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for ~35 minutes until the brownies begin the pull away from the edge of the pan. Allow brownies to cool in the pan before lifting out of the pan with the foil.
