Don't smell, inhale!

In the mornings I refuse to stop and smell the flowers.
I stop and inhale until it suctions around my nose like a bear hug.
Noticing the beauty of flowers is great.
Smelling the flowers – awesome.
Going nose to petal? That’s living.
I have one tattoo.
Well technically, 2, tattoo #1 is covered up by tattoo #2. See my previous post on bad decisions to take a guess as to what the first one was.
The tattoo that is visible is that of a morning glory flower- because of the delight these flowers brought me every summer morning as a young girl.
I didn’t just take the time to smell the flowers as a kid- I inhaled and discovered that I got the best nose hug a flower could give. And it made me smile.
It has a bit of silly to it. Which is one of the reasons I still do it as an adult.
But there is something about going all in- embracing it- not just observing or casually partaking- that makes life, well, come alive.
