3/4cupcrushed candy canes/peppermints or other candies
1-2tsppeppermint extract or extract of choice
1lb semi sweet or dark chocolate chips or almond bark
little bit of oil if NOT using chocolate flavoring
Instructions
Okay- this is simple and options are endless. Basically- you control the flavor and types of chocolate. If you are using an extract, mix just a bit (like 1/4tsp) oil with the extract to prevent the chocolate from seizing up. You want a cooking sheet with parchment paper, spatula, microwave safe bowl OR double broiler. You can melt chocolate and layer (white and dark) or swirl it. Again- creator's choice! After melting, stir in the oil/extract mixture and spread onto parchment paper. If doing layers, let cool until hard and then add the second later along with crushed up candies! Break into pieces and enjoy! I will package and store these in the freezer- makes for great holiday treats to have on hand!
