Friday July 12th- 9am-4pm ( I will provide snacks, put send a lunch/any snacks your child would like to have available)
Suggested ages 9 and up.
In mixed age camps, older kids get to take on leadership and mentoring roles while younger kids get the opportunity to learn how to work in a group and gain confidence by being empowered to try new things! There is so much to learn by being around those not in one’s age group and without many opportunities for that to happen in today’s world, it is a joy to provide it during these camps!
If this camp is full, please head here to register for the waitlist.
Before registering for the camp please read the waiver HERE.
Follow BMK on facebook for camp updates and photos of all the pre camp projects!
I will send out an email the Friday before each camp with all the information you could ever want/need- if you don’t receive an email by Saturday morning please reach out. You will receive a confirmation email of your registration that includes my EIN for tax purposes- save that email as I do not keep them and will not be able to resend it this time next year when the joys of tax season is upon us.
This is the only full day camp of the season, and is for your baking loving kiddo who also loves watching cooking shows! All competing is optional, no one is ever forced to take part – they will still get to partake in all activities. In the morning we will start with Great British Baking Show meets Nailed It! with campers in small teams recreating a cookie from scratch with recipes missing some of the key steps/info. In the afternoon, Rachel from Sugar Kubed Cookies is back again to teach sugar cookie decorating. She is not only a talented cookie artist but also a fantastic teacher. We are going with the theme of Christmas in July so that campers can be prepared to wow everyone next Christmas with the designs they learn in the camp! We’ll then end with another take on the Great British Baking Show with kids getting to decorate their signature cookie. They are welcome to come prepared, having practiced between now and camp, or just have fun and make up a deign on the spot. If they want to come prepared, they are welcome to bring undecorated cookies with them, otherwise Rachel will provide a variety of cookie shapes for kids to choose from. (Baked, unfrosted sugar cookies freeze really well, so once they have their design down, freeze any extras for them to bring to camp- no need for night before baking). Kids will be working in teams for the morning competition and then are decorating their own individual cookies in the afternoon.
Plenty of time will be available to play with the goats, chickens, in the timber on the zip lines and ninja course and treehouse!
