Basic Quiche

Author Becky's Mindful Kitchen



  • 1 c flour
  • 1/2 tsp coarse sea salt
  • 1 stick cold butter cut into small pieces
  • 3 T ice cold water

Custard filling

  • 1.5 c whole milk
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp salt

herbs of choice

    Cheese for topping ( your choice of cheese)


      • Preheat oven to 400 


      • Mix together flour and salt in a medium bowl.  Work in butter and water.  Roll out dough.  Lay into a 8.5 in or 9 in circular pan.  Prick bottom of the dough with a fork.  


      • Mix together all ingredients in a medium bowl and add in herbs of choice. 
      • Pour custard into the crust and top with cheese.  Bake for about 30 minutes until firm to the touch.
